5 bar wouldbe like 60to75 lbs of boost.

Give him a break...he is a diesel truck owner---he thinks that kinda boost is normal....until...

He gets back in his fire-chicken---then he knows exactly what a 3 bar is:biggrin:

shoot... I ain't scared, why do you think there is a 5 bar in the "firechicken". once I get the suspension straightened out then I can turn it up.

That's what I like to hear!!

FWIW: A 5 bar is good for around 60 psi

The problem with sensors is you get what you pay for. In the case of engine management or alky systems, if you scimp and the sensor fails.. bad things can happen.

The Delphi pieces are the best and quality is not questioned.

If its just for a boost guage for example, then it doesnt matter.

Cal, How many years have we been hearing that from Steve?!?!?!

:)

With his AMS1000, that fire-chicken will run an 8 with it's current suspension. Just gotta give the driver a little crown & coke ;)

We sell the 5 bars for $133.25. We also sell the more popular 3 1/2 bar sensors for the same price. The 3 1/2 are good for nearly 38 psi. Regardless of which you buy, your program will need to be reconfigured for the higher sensor

and you... if you just quite telling me don't worry, take baby steps we will get there.
well @ Reynolds I REFUSE to run anything less than a pegged 30psi boost gauge!! so you better have the tune right (like always).;)

I'm guessing you've already spent your $133.25 then...

How about we borrow/rent an enclosed trailer for your 'big truck' and you pull us all down to Reynolds?

Cal,
I am still using the factory two bar maop sensor which came with the car from the factory. I know you had to see me spend my money on stuff I dont need, but do you think I should upgrade soon?

You don't want a GM bar sensor for an alky. kit, unless you need to spray under vacuum. :p

The best ones with best resolution for alky. are boost only, no wasted resolution on vacuum readings, and you can buy them in various flavors for around $25 and add about $5 in components which include your own regulated 5V supply.

There's no rocket science involved either just a simple accurate strain gauge boost sensor.

But hey the Mexican or Chinese have the GM ones all potted up real nice for that big money. :p
