I agree......Straight denatured works the best with hi-boost settings. I've run as high as 25lbs boost with straight alky and squirt of WD-40.

I am only running 5.5 psi on a JRSC(jackson racing supercharger). There is not an intercooler made for my car . THe most boost I will run is 9psi. Is there a down fall to alcohol over water?

I've never seen any downfalls. Really b/c I've never run anything but 100% denatured. It works like a champ, and thats all I asked it to do. 2000R- what compression ratio are you running?

where can you get it at?

Where do you guys get the denatured alky at? The gn i am look at purchasing has an alcohol injection systems on it, and i was wondering how often it must be filled and where i can fill it at?

Home depot or paint stores. About $10 a gallon, with normal driving and a few wot passes you'll easily get 2 weeks out of a tank, or 6-10 1/4 mile passes.

I buy mine at Home Depot, it's back w/ the paint thinners. 1 gallon runs about $9. I'm sure they have it at nearly all home centers like that, I.e. Lowes or maybe even Wal-Mart. How often you have to fill it depends on how much you "like it". It's addictive running high boost, I've been getting 1 to 2 weeks per 1/2 gallon. And because of this my gas mileage has suffered too! Instead of getting the regular 18mpg, having fun with the high boost, I've cut that to under 15, with a personal worst of 12. But it's sure fun!:D

Sweet car man! Yea, if you go ahead with it, get the denatured (a.k.a.- ethanol). The most powerful stuff is methanol, but it chews up the injection pumps. I'm about to experiment with nitro-methane to see how it turns out:D Same stuff the top fuel dragsters run, so I hope the GN can take it well. Later...

Hey Hoss,
Let us know how the nitro-methane goes! What have you heard about it?

Really I'm a little skittish to jump right in and try it. All I know is that its name implies what it is- each methane molecule has a nitrous molecule hooked onto it; kind of like a "complete" fuel. It burns super-slow so it shouldn't detonate, but that is the least of my worries. I posted about trying it a few weeks ago, but apparently the gurus on here didn't catch it. I'll try it anyway. If my motor blows all to hell and back, oh well, I guess I'll have to go find that Stage II motor I've been wanting:D . You can find it at a hobby shop- its the same fuel I use in my r/c airplanes, just in case YOU want to be the test-dummy.

i run RC car on nitro also, but if you were to try it which blend
would you use?
i believe you would not have to mix any type of lubricant in it
when you buy it it comes in %
most of it is oil i seen i think 40% mix at my hobby shop
OJP

I have a big OLD bottle of COX super power fuel in my hobby room that I've neglected to use for a while. Actually has some methanol in it, which is yet another reason for me to doubt trying it. I was really going to start out by adding little by little to my alky tank on fill-up(w/ the denatured, of course), using more for a higher concentration each time until I notice a real difference or KABOOM!!!

Just be sure you have the battery fully charged if you're using Direct Scan, or have some sort of way to check for detonation.

Although, I did see a NEW stage II block on ebay for sale!!;)

Thanks.........Will give it a try this spring.

John,
I have a methanol pump and Mallory methanol regulator with 3 NOS solenoids.
Made it myself years ago.
