To squeeze the very most out of any alcohol system, requires tuning. How much squeezing.. will dictate tune. A custom chip in the process of squeezing the most out of yur combo will always yield better results than a generic one size fits all.

Just depends on goals, and how much your willing to push.

You dont need anything special to run lower 20's on alcohol, but once you start paying attention to whats going on.. then you can move to that level.

I also noticed you were running stock injectors. That in itself may be a limiting item. The stock turbo you can leave, the injectors tho I would recommend upgrading. Even a set of 009's can be had reasonably.

Leave you with this, a customer/close friend, Ed Brewer from DC Tech ran in Bowling Green, a few 12.0 on a stock turbo, alky, 009's, and an Eric Marshall chip on pump gas. Yes the tune on the car is up to snuff.. as is its traction and owner knowledge of his combination.

Lastly, I assumme the fuel pump is a 307,340, XP, etc. Not a stocker. Just making sure.

my fuel pump is a holley.Should it be better to change the injectors first or keep the stock ones + alky.
Im planning to change to a ta49 or te44 + injectors 009
and other gooddies for next summer

thanks

I believe the Holley we're 307's. The fuel pump you may get away with. The injectors, as soon as you turn the wick up, are going to be static. A lot of us have run stock injectors past theyre limits, I cannot tell someone to do something I know not better to do.

Although i've done it :D At about 106 MPH theyre static. Or mid 12's.

If the car is running clean, doesnt detonate, and you just want a few lbs.. I cant see an issue. Tho its one issue to watch for.

So the question is you buy injectors and chip.. tho can only run stock boost levels.. and if you run higher boost.. then you'll knock unless there is octane. Or you get an alky kit, run slightly higher boost levels, and dont get any knock. But run the risk of not metering correctly.. Which is less chance of hurting the motor vs getting KR from insufficient octane.

Just giving you opinion/options No cut dry easy solution. You want to make power, you need certain items to be in check. Without a foundation.. the house crumbles. Fuel is one of those foundations to build power.

106 mph ??? I runned 112 mph last year with my stock car, with race gas. But I am a Swede LOL. Good mphs, bad times.

Not that it cant be done, if you record your run on direct scan, then play it back.. you'll see the injectors at 120-130% with stock injectors.

Anything above 85-90 is typically no-no.

Could i use your kit rasor whit my stock inj and go up 20 to 22
pounds of boost whit no kr or wait to buy the inj + turbo at the same time
thanks

You can use the alky with stock injectors, just make plans on your next purchase really being injectors. The stock turbo will take you pretty far. Actually dont change turbo's until your in the lower 12's on the stocker.

On my Dodge, I saw injector DC's so high (125%+) that my scanner actually started reading garbage for PW values past that point :D
