All of a sudden I get Code 33, 42 and 55 What could it be?

Driving down the HWY @ 55MPH or so When all of a sudden the car feels funny then the check engine light comes ON and then it shuts OFF.
I immediately turn it back on and it’s running normal again with no check engine light and no codes.
After this happened I drove it around for about and 30 minutes turned it on and off a few times and it running normal with no codes. a few hours later I drove it 45 minutes with another few on's and off's and it's still running good.
Loose wire?
Loose ground?
What could it be?
BTW is haven’t touched the ECM or any wiring in a very long time.

Garage? WHat is a garage? lol

I just meant a problem that pops up for a bit...then GONE! Not seen again for days, months, sometimes years!!

Code 33 lean signal
Code 42 EST (electronic spark control)
Code 55 ECM?
All 3 probalby false codes caused by one bad connection somewhere.

Check and clean your grounds, all of them. There is one behind the passenger side head.
Make sure your chip is fully seated in the ECM (computer).
Look for a loose connection.
Clean both battery cables at the battery, look for corrosion build up on the positive cable. Check the ground cable connection on the block for looseness.

Possibly a bad ECM, but I doubt it.
HTH.

I put a bunch of extra grounds all over the engine, frame and body.
I did notice that I did not ground the ECM. I will run a wire from the ECM's metal body to the fire wall. I will also check every thing you listed above.
Thanks
David

Do you have the grounds in all the stock locations (all the ones on the back of the head). It's very important how you run the grounds.

loose chip socket, water in the ecm, bad connection to the orange wire feeding the ecm (next to the battery).

hmmmmmmmmmm nobody has their chip door any more.

Use a small safety pin or sewing needle and bend the fingers in the chip socket out a little so they grip the chip tighter.

it'll be good for another 22 years.

Bob

loose chip:mad:
one of the screws that holds the ECM's door is MIA.
Thanks for the help guys.
