Do not get Lojack. A total waste of money. Many municipalities don't even have the equipment on their patrol vehicles. When they do the signal if very hard to follow unless it is parked. Onstar equipped vehicles work like a dream. The onstar technician is able to give you a play by play of were your car is within a half block. I don't know if that would be an option for older cars.

I use a metal collar that goes around the tilt part of the steering column. goes past the part commonly pried up to access the starter switch...I bought this in the early 90's....
