I had a local guy re-stall the D5 to about 23-2500. Works good with the stock turbo on my wife's WH1. I'm putting the TA49 on next spring, I'm thinking it's going to work great!! Phil.

I've ran with everything from restalled 12" to ptc 9.5". I ran an edge 10" with a 49 on a stock long block. It spooled faster than the stock setup. $300 for the edge converter if anyone wants it.

Hmmm.... interested.

Which model is it? street edge, mild street edge, Pro?

What's the stall speed & is it a lock-up?

AND... how many miles on it?

Im not sure what model it is. I pulled it from a car i converted to non lock that had a 49 on it. I dont know the rated stall speed but it was at least 2800@zero and it spooled a 49 faster than the stock calibration spools. It is lockup.

On my car, a stock D5 / TA49 combo was pulling down 900RPM on shifts. 5300 to 4400. Slip was 15% @ 110mph through the traps. It could 60ft in the 1.7's with about 8 psi but took a long while to spool up to that level.

Just switched to a Precision single disc 3200 advertised stall. Now it pulls down only 500RPM on the shifts. 5300 to 4800.

Any guesses what it will slip throught the traps????? Will find out this weekend....

Which converter is best by performance/cost? Is there any particular converter you would recommend that could be re-stalled later when I eventually buy a bigger turbo?

Thanks,
Bil
