Noticing there's a lot less turbo buicks out there for sale.... maybe its just me, but a month or two ago i would see 2 or 3 new cars for sale a day, now just the same old cars for sale here on TB.com. Im not a buyer yet, not till after nursing school will i be a buyer:biggrin: but i like to see the deals going on now, just like to further my knowledge about these cars , So i know what to look for when im buying... curious if anyone else has noticed the less amount of turbo buicks for sale....

I've noticed a definate decline over the past 5 years or so. Not only here on this site but others like autotrader and others. I guess they are just getting harder to find. At one time I guess there were hemi cudas and ss 454 chevelles on every street corner but you hardly see those now too.

I think it is because people have unrealistic prices. They think their cars are worth more than the market is willing to pay.

Im a nonowner still, but it seems like GN's are more or less "toys" and owners dont NEED to sell, so they keep em instead of selling low.

yeh im hoping when te economy isnt in the can, there will be alot more rides for sale, and hopefully then ill be able to buy a few

I think there is less for sale too. Or at least hard to find one somewhat locally when you want one. Then some people ask crazy prices. But I do think it would be hard to find a nice one pretty quick without having to travel far.

yeh, i when im in the market, i live in jersey, ill travel the east coast, fla to maine. So im sure i can find sumtin out there.

Hey, good luck on the Nursing school. My girlfriend is finishing up this week. I've already made out my wish list for her to pay me back for all the suffering I've had to endure with her :D. Can't wait for that new intercooler ;) ....

It's more like sellers are tired of the ridiculous LOWBALLING from people now which is at it worst level ever so the seller gets fed up and keeps the car.

I was thinking the exact same thing the other day and was glad I bought the car I did when I did a couple months ago cause there hasnt been sh!t since then. Seems like the only cars selling are divorce/job loss situations.

The bad thing is it takes the fun out of restoring a car when the parts are also way overpriced. Ever since the first GNX rolled through Barret Jackson the prices on ALL G-Body's and parts went sky high...ESPECIALLY GN/T-Type parts. Seems like I bought two GN headlight bezels from the dealer in the mid 90's for under $80. Can't remember exactly but it wasn't $400+ like they were last year.

I'm restoring a 87 Turbo T and I know I'm going to have at least $6000 in parts and painting supplies included to get the car back in almost perfect shape. This is doing all the work myself...including painting the car. I could have bought one that's nice already but I'm not taking the chance and somebody's "word" that the car I'm buying is in excellent shape. The good thing about me doing all the work is that I'll know for a fact what's under the paint instead of being taken by someone elses wrecked/worn out POS.

Comes down to simple economics..... right now it's a buyer's market with the economy like it is. Not favorable to a seller wanting to get a decent price on their car. If I was looking to sell (not that I am), I'd hold until later. History has shown that the economy will upswing again. Desperation sales are another chapter and good deals to potential buyers!

thanx ASTurbo86.... ive contiplated for years what i would like to do as a career. It wasnt until my gf, said you should goto nursing school, seeing that everynight i watch Trauma in the ER, im into the whole intestines and stuff, but, my nursing career is going into the Anestia direction... salaries start at over 100k :).... if anyones looking to change careers, goin into the nursing feild or medical field..is a great idea, takes as little as 1 yr, and a starting salarie of almost 50k a yr, depending where you live. In 7 yrs over 75% of the nursing feild will be retiring. They predict over a 100,000 new jobs a year. So there isnt ever a shortage of jobs. My brother is a Nurse, and he can go anywhere in the US, take a test and have a fulltime job , Its a no brainer. And plus its mostly an all woman feild hahaha... get great company on the job

There's just less activity on the forum as a whole the past two weeks or so,
on all forums, not just the forsales, prob because it's nice out,
people are out driving and doing **** instead of stuck inside posting on boards,
still the same amount of cars for sale on ebay/autotrader/etc

I agree, been there......
I have two cars that i could sell, one stock low mile all original 16000 miles and the stage II car, but i am holding back just because it seems like to much trouble and i am feeling lazy, lol:biggrin: ......

Market Sux!!!!

I've got an 86 GN sitting... I've not really advertised it, but still I've had half a dozen people look at it and say they would pay what I'm asking. But when it comes to showing up at my house with cash, that’s another story. Not that I really want to sell the car, It just kills me to let it sit. All the money is going into my new car, and on a Serviceman’s pay I cannot afford to work on 2 of these cars simultaneously. Translation I'll do a little bit of mods to it with the stuff I have laying around the shop, then unload when the market looks better. That's what I think most people’s mind set is, the people who really need money have to sell their cars way under priced. My 87-T I bought 3 months back the guy started out asking 12.5K.... I bought it for $8700.00, poor guy probably had 9K in the drivetrain alone.

It's more like the owner of the car bought it at a ridiculous high price and now they can't get back the money they have in the car so they keep the car.:p
