I paid $300 for a nice one and $125 for one needing lots of work to give you an idea of what to expect. I have yet to find one for sale for less than $300 that wasn't needing any work.

I put one in my car years ago. I couldn't tell the difference in my hands after I got my old one out. I had to get a scale to see the difference and it wasn't more than a couple pounds. Then you still have to mod a few holes, open up the headlight buckets from square to oval so they look right, and make sure all your threads match up correctly. I would not do it again, and I definitely would not spend $300 to do it. Put the $300 towards a radiator instead and loose the same weight and get better efficiency.

thats weird you couldn't tell a difference. Mine was night and day. you could pick the alum. one up with two fingers and the other one you had to use your whole hand. it was a PITA to change but worth it.

are you a body builder or something? the aluminum support is like 12-15 lbs lighter! HUGE difference!! wtf?
