I am considering the purchase of an aluminum driveshaft. I'm concerned with the durability of the factory unit under severe drag race conditions and would appreciate any thoughts, opinions or recommendations and who sells the best aluminum driveshafts for the turbo Regal. The transmission is the 200 4R and the rear is the factory 10 bolt with Moser axles and C clip eliminators. Thanks.

I will tell you the super duty aluminum race driveshafts made out of MMC aluminum will not be made much longer. the company that made this special aluminum no longer makes it. from my understanding Dynotech. engineering has the last of it in the world, and from what the guy I was talking to Ford is trying to buy the last of what they have.

Denny's driveshaft in NY ... thats what I got in the TTA ... some Smith guy also runs one

Thank you for the information. Grumpy, why does that Smith guy need an aluminum driveshaft on his stock 305 IROC?

The shaft will be ok , as long as you don't use a transbrake in the car and launch at 20 psi. Do not get a 3" dia piece either 3.5 or 4" min!

Dynotech in MI has all the specs. for the GN on file just tell them you want a 3.5" MMC aluminum one.

Two years ago the price was around $500.

I think there pricing is way over $1200 though last time i checked.

I talked to Dynotech last week he said $504 free shipping but need to buy asap, before Ford buys all that they have.
