Aluminum Girdle

I bought a rotating assembly recently and got a aluminum girdle asa part of the deal. Is any one using these? Anyone have a gauge of value to the strength of a motor versus steel?...Pros and cons? I really hope I can get some idea I haavent't seen anything on the boards about them. I am thinking about buying an RJC but money is tight.

I built a few engines with them no downsides that I seen. Steve Hughes went many passes in the 9.20-9.30 range at just over 150mph. Dont waste your money changing.
