Heck yeah Cam it up

Thats with a 236/230 Cam @ over 600 lift

Is that 236/230 cam on a street car if so how does it run on the street what's LCA on it.

As far as the debate goes with aluminum and iron. Nick hit it on the head who ever is running the aluminum and slowing down is doing something wrong. And it probably is in the tune, all the truths about aluminum are written here now if we can only stop spreading the non truths.

Better heat transfer which is critical to power
Detonation which is critical to power
Valve size which coupled with cam is critical to power.

That is his "old" cam, not the one he had in the engine on his record run.

Even Dick does not know the new cam specs as Zimmerman will not tell him!:D It is a proprietary custom grind.

think about it.....

Pro stock, almost unlimited budget, and they use alum heads.
top fuel, unlimited budget, use's alum heads.
top sportsman, who know the budget, use's alum heads.

come guys, you really think iron heads can produce more than alum???
Dart sells iron and alum in very similar configuration, and the alum makes a ton more HP.
I'm not here to convince you otherwise, but the facts speak volumes!

I'm calling Zimmerman, I want a bigger cam !!!!!!!!!!!

So anybody, is that cam streetable and I know we all have our understanding of what streetable is. Is it nasty at idle and slow to clean up, or is it nasty at idle but still pulls away from the street light pretty easily.
