The turbo on the car is. Fine I already confirmed that so now am in the market for a convertor I heard pro torque conv when you buy them they give you a free restall. My friend call pte to ask if they do the same and they told him no he has to pay to get it done

I've had good luck with my Pat's Performance Converter.

If your really gonna just throw the converter away i'll pay the shipping and take it off your hands.:D;):)

Why not call PTC and send the converter back and have it redone.:eek:The numbers on the converter should help them determine what it is:biggrin: Good luck

Precision gives a free restall to the original owner for 1 year, when you foot brake the car what is the RPM right where the boost gauge starts to move? What is the rpm at say 10 PSI? What turbo and cam do you have?
Mike

Have you verified that it is a 3200 precision converter instead of slamming them without knowing for sure?

If it is a 3200 RPM converter or anywheres close, then I'd say it's the tune.

I've got an "0" pump that stalls at 2600, with a stock motor and 6152 turbo, could launch at 20# if I wanted to.

Ill keep you guys postedWell ill know tomorrow night if the converter was the problem!! Once again you guys on here are great very helpful with a lot of. Knowlegde the forum was down from last night and I did not know what to do with my self:mad:

go to turbo buicks like the rest of us do ..

Just and FYI. Its not a PTE convertor, they makes turbos, not convertors.
I am figuring it is a Precision Industries convertor

Have you figured out why your "0" pump is stalling at 2600? I've got the same issue. Stopped by Janis Transmission yesterday and talked to Vince about it. He's unsure. Provided Brian L my track times from Norwalk this year (Fri tnt), and he thinks the car seems to be running ok. I can also run the boost up about as high as I want to launch.

No, I am unsure other than the converter is tight on the bottom end. I don't know how it is going to react at the track with the new 6765, but on the street it is spooling the turbo as soon as I hit the throttle. Hopefully it won't be to loose up top.

I dont know of anyone who has a "0" pump PI converter that truely stalls @3200. Most I know of stall between 2400-2900. I might have been informed wrong but, I have been told alot of different variables can help determine stall also, not just an advertised suggested stall....turbo size...engine build...vac leaks+wg puck not sealing wont let you build boost and might make you think you have a F'd up converter Just my .02.
