last winter the speedo cable started chirping. took apart the speedo cable near brake booster, and pulled cable out, cleaned and lubed with CRC white lithium grease. a couple weeks ago the squeak came back and loud. Took apart the cable again, cleaned off old grease and lubed with petroleum jelly. Didn't help much, so did it again with WD40/petroleum jelly. Still have nasty chirping sound and there is lots of lube on the cable.
