Another reason why I don't drive the GN much

Mine isn't anything special, aside from being a GN. It needs some rust removal, and a paint job to go with it, but I still don't drive mine as much as I'd like. But, when I do take mine out, I look at the car that I am parking next to. If it is banged up, they don't care. I look at the door edges. If the paint is all chipped off of them, they don't care, and I'll park somewhere else. I park further away when I have the GN, and like to park against curbs, that way I know no one is going to be cutting through the spaces next to me, and might accidentally hit it. But then again, it is a car that I intend on enjoying. I take care of it, and I'm careful about where I park/drive it, but I still drive it.

Stupid people that can not open thier doors without paying attention.

I drive mine almost everyday in the summer. I like driving it plus it gets better milage than my Expedition. My car is not "perfect", probably a 10 or 20 footer and at some angles a 5 footer. I have thought about a re-paint but I would be more concerned than I am now.

I did notice the other day a nice door ding right next to the GN badge on the passenger 1/4 panel. Very few people know what a GN is or TR is around here so to them it was probably just an old car so who cares right? From the looks of the ding it was a full size SUV.

+1. 99% of the time I don't have to worry because I have to park it at work and everybody knows not to park close to it. I came out one day and some bonehead customer was 6 inches away from the passenger side. A couple of days later I find a itsy bitsy teeney weeney ding high up on my quarter panel. Another victim of a soccer mom SUV. Many of times I wanted to bring a gallon of paint and paint my own lines so I wouldn't have to go ballistic on these idiots. I don't know what is worst. Parking way out in the boonies in a parking lot and drawing attention or taking your chances by parking next to another nice looking car.

The other day me and the wife had to stop at Walgreens to buy some good stuff. So I park far away from the door. We come out to find some redneck sitting in his F150 with the dome light on parked to the left of my GN. As I'm giving the creep the evil eye I notice he looks like he is playing with himself. I say to my wife, does it look like he is jerking off and she looks and says maybe. Off goes the dome light and the truck goes in reverse and peels out of the parking lot. Oh Boy!

Well turbo buicks are a hobbie for us and porn for others!! Jon

...Would you Believe he was wankin to my Car Chief...?

LMAOF! He wasn't looking at your car and wanking his wank  - He was looking at your wife!!! ha haa!:D

I would have let my buddy take the wheel and i would have proceeded to get out of the car and knock the hick f uck out. Knocking out the remainder of his front teeth. Typical jealous WT piece of s hit. He would sh it his pants the second he saw me approaching his scrawny ass. Then i would have clobbered him.

Good advise! I quit reacting and fighting only to find that more people picked on me and my things so back to the old way it went.

I don't understand why people have to purposely destroy others' posessions. My TL (which has a $701 payment) has so many door dents, so does the girlfriend's new car. I only caught one person one time and I won't say what I did on here but it wasn't nice.

Someone telling their kid to kick your car is amazing. I would absolutely destroy the parent in front of the kid. Those types of people are used to not getting confronted by normal people. The look when you come at them is priceless.

I do the same. Park next to a curb or Mercedes.

Ok I know this sounds stupid but if ya can afford a whore why not buy one.

I have found in the past my most fun cars to enjoy were the ones that look like trash.

When you own something nice you can just about be sure someone or something will happen to it.

Just pickup a low ball GN or T that has a crappy paint & looks beat. Drive it anyplace & never worry about it.

Little6pack, I totally agree.

That, or guys, just take your vehicles around people who will respect them.

If you know the regular idiots you hang out with will not treat it with respect, than don't take it to them.

Heck, I even act somewhat choicy about where I take my everyday beater Saturn.

I don't drive mine that much cus' every third time I drive it, it breaks! Always stupid stuff like coil packs, o2 sensors, maf sensor, ect. I love my GN, but sometimes it drives me crazy!

One day at a store I parked way out in the boonies and when I came out, there was a crap box 78-79 regal on one side of me (non turbo rusted out P.O.S) and a GP of the same vintage on the other side of me. Not sure if they thought they were cool parking thier cars next to the GN or just being smart. No door dings that day though. I would bet their cars were paid for however so maybe they were protecting the GN

New cars such as vans OR suv's scare me as well. Around here I bet 99% of these new things are leased OR have a payment on a 6 year note and plan on rolling it into a higher payment in 3 years so they dont care what happens to it. In 3 years, lease or loan they get somthing else. A little ding here or there that just may make the payment on the new one a few $$ higher. Maybe the SUV owners will hang on to them a little longer when they find out they owe more on the truck than it is worth:eek:
