No I have a Ping G2 which I love. :biggrin:
I plan on buying a nike sq driver. I had the chance to try it out at a local golf shop and I love it. It had a 10.5 degree head on it and the stiffest shaft you could get. I see that nike also has some brand new drivers which I havent tried yet. But at $499.00 I'll wait till the price comes down.
I hit a few with it and I do not slice with it. Well balanced club.
Up here in WI I can buy that driver for $149.00 on sale this week only. Im gonna go buy one on friday.

I golf a little
I have played golf for a while now, considering I am a solid 7hdcp I would have to say most drivers are over rated there really hasn't been that many advancements in driver technology in the past 5-10 years. You will pick up more yards switching golf balls or changing the shaft than swithching drivers.Most decent golfers have great drivers 400-500 dollars drivers to be exact but after a few bad shots they feel it must be the driver and not the drivee. Usually you fall out of love with a driver and go try the new "hot thing" thinking man I kill this thing when in reality if you were to walk off your five best shots with your club compared to your new one you would be lucky to pick up 7 yards(try it). Driver design as most clubs are regulated by the USGA, they don't want clubs that can hit the ball 300+ everytime even though they could be made to do just that ( longer shaft, thinner club face). For those who just have to have the new thing wait 2-3 months after it has come out and go to a place that sells used stuff and you will find that club you wanted for less than new. But on a lighter note I recently swithed drivers (haha) after having mine three years and picked up a taylor made R7 I like it a lot doesn't go any farther but I hit more fairways with it because of the better shaft.
I recently tried the new TM burner series driver and I would have to say that it has a hot face on the machine in the store I could hit my R7 about 165mph ball speed I hit the new burner a 172mph consistantly that's smoking it, the computer claim it's 297yds but I don't base it on that it's the ball speed try it you might be impressed.

Yeah it sounds weird. Currently I have a Taylormade R580 XD. Nice club, sounds tinny when you hit one. I bought a nike sq driver last weekend. I just played a round today. Lite drizzle
but there was a few other golfers around and when I hit it they turned and looked at me like what the hell was that. Sounds completely different than my taylormade. It made more of a smack sound. My first drive was 295 yards and straight as an arrow. I love it already.
