One of the worst part of cleaning the body of our TR's has got to be the emblems on the hood bulge. I am always getting my California duster stuck on them not to mention trying to get the wax out from in between the letters. We might have a solution to this in the form of foneychrome stick-on emblems.

Note that the 2nd pic has the "emblem" mounted on a piece of black anodized aluminum for contrast.

Also a possible new product - intercooler repro stickers!

Let me know if there is any interest.

A soft toothbrush will remove the dry wax from the emblems without scratching the paint. Acid brushes also work OK. The decals are neat, though. I would say the decals would be more attractive to those of us who don't want to deal with broken hood emblems? I know quite a few guys who like the emblem look on their hoods, but the ones they have on their cars are missing the "3" in "3.8" for whatever reason. The decals may give those guys an option besides just taking the emblems off.

For those with show cars I think the Intercooler tag is a good idea.

Though, I think I'd rather just go without the emblems on the hood for a variety of reasons.

Mark,

The intercooler tag looks good. I'm not to sure about the bulge lettering.....I'd have to see it in person to tell.

Did you give up on the idea of a CO2 intercooler-cooler?

BTW. I rec'd the electric cut-out on Friday. Can't wait to get it installed.....need to get to the muffler shop so they can weld in the "Y" cut-out....three bolts...some simple wiring....and I'm making noise. Can't Wait!

Not sure on pricing yet. Will have that figured out this week. I am going to try out the hood bulge stickers on my GN to see how they look.

Not sure what to put for the Serial Number on the intercooler tags, were they different for each car or model year? Might need some help on that.

John, glad you got the cutout finally, how about our buddy Mayfield? He should have received his by now too.

C02 intercooler sprayer will probably be a winter project. Funny thing is, I was in my storage shed at work and lo and behold forgot that I had a special setup for freezing pipes so you can replace valves without shutting down the whole water system in a building. Used it only once in 8years. It uses CO2 to freeze the pipe so guess who has access to a full 20lb bottle of CO2?? Would probably be too big to mount in the car but will come in handy for testing purposes for my prototype.

if you want to know what the chrome decals look like on a white limited i could try them out

do you think you would make the 2 for the decklid also?

THANKS
BW

I have a couple of the, uh... "prototype" IC ID tags and they are awesome! Don't think the emblem stickers are something that would interest me, but if you guys can come up with a strong enough magnetic "cutout" that a stock emblem could stick to, that might be an idea? I like the look of no emblems on my WE4, but think it might be neat to throw the "magnetic emblems" on for car shows when I am entered in the stock classes. Although, then they run the risk of getting stolen, I guess. Just a thought...

I want 5% of the profits for borrowing my trademarked name. ;)

Cost for the intercooler plates will be $15 with your serial number engraved OR $12 without a serial number. Will add them to the site tonite.

We also have some GNX plates on the back burner too.

No price on the hood emblems yet.

KROM, your check for using your trademarked name is in the mail.:D

Emblems

I like Jay's suggestion about emblems with magnetic backing you could easily remove to wax car or go in stealth mode without them on the car.

Hey Mark I like those hood emblems. I think they would look cleaner than the OE emblems. Maybe some of the stage motor guys would like a 4.1 or 4.5 emblem too.

In case anybody asks, a big mouth shorty style 3.5" intake pipe will work with an 85mm MAF.:D But it's tuff to stretch them rubber couplings over that MAF, it's a biggen'!
