Any new news? When are these things slated for production? Any new testing? Flow comparisons? And what are the differences between the SI and SE heads?

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but I suspect foul play, as it has really been to quiet. I have been wondering myself, just as I am sure that everybody else is also.

Last update I saw.........

"9/10/03
Recently we performed a successful pre-production run and have finalized the patterns. 50 Sets are being cast at this time. Street Intimidator and Street Eliminator versions will be machined. NOW is the time to place your order if you are serious about this serious cylinder head. With the vast upgrades, modifications and refinements made to these heads, they are are poised to revolutionize the V6 market."

This was from TA's website~~~ http://www.taperformance.com

Hopefully Nick Micale can chime in and calm everybody down with a nice update on how things are going because I'm sure Nick is in the know...... I'm sure foul play is not the case!:)

Not Nick here (and I didn't say birdy this time :) ) but I spoke with them the other day. If I recall correctly they had flow numbers of 260/200 from what I remember. They are a couple of months out and the fully assembled heads will be in the $1800-$1900 range. I guess they will be TSM legal next year:)

Oops: my bad:
I meant that as a joke. I am sure that foul play is not the case either.

I just think that Murphy's law might have temporarily intervened.

Maybe one day you will post something of value?

Your comment about the Eagle forged crank was also as "informative" as this one!

The info posted above from the TA website tells the status. There are a few sets of the pre-production run that are being readied for installation.

The set I am doing has been flow tested "as delivered", and will then be worked - port and bowl work - and then flow tested again. The initial results are very satisfying. I have elected to go with 1.94" intake valves for this set which is also capable of 2.02" intakes. TA is doing a couple sets with the larger intake valves. The exhaust valves in both cases are 1.60".

The TA heads, like the alum block, will be produced in limited numbers [batches] and the way to assure your availability to purchase is to simply send a deposit. There may be a point in the future when blocks and heads will be "shelf" items, but for now they are sold as fast as they can be made.

It took 4 years to get the TA alum block from "discussion" to shipping", the TA alum heads have been done in less than half that time frame.:)

Gee, maybe if you read the rules you would know that aluminum heads have always been legal in TSM.

I knew that aluminum heads were legal in TSM but I thought new products had to be on the market before year end to be used in TSM the next year. Since you are the man.... give me the dope on the issue. :)

The "new products deadline" only applies to turbos. Note that this is the only place inthe rules where you will see a reference to a parts availability deadline.

LMAO.

''I have elected to go with 1.94" intake valves for this set which is also capable of 2.02" intakes''.

Are these intake valves centered enough in the combustion chamber to work on a 3.8 block without having to "fisheye"the block?
Also for the price quoted above"$1800-$1900"complete.......what hardware does that include??
Seems kind of steep on the price unless you are talking about roller rockers/valve covers etc included.

Whats the total cost for a short block? Also how long a wait to actually get one?

Send me an e-mail direct with your requirements and maybe can work it in with the ones we are now doing. Price depends on your selection of parts and specs.

The heads are out. I got my set with 2.02/1.60 over month ago. I was not ready for them so I traded them to a freind who was in need and I ordered another set.

Maybe one day you will find a way to mature & communicate without being PERSONALLY rude.

Here's a silly childish set of "roll-eyes" for you, too, since you use them so often in your posts --->

These heads have reportedly been "90 days away from release" for well over a year.

Those are the posts that had NO VALUE, since they just strung people along.

Jump & pile on the guy who made THOSE posts!
