If I had something to give I would but like I said above we mainly deal with plastics, I have done chrome scoops, vents, engine covers, overflow bottles and that kind of stuff. To do wheels, intakes, etc. like coaches friend does you need to be setup with specific powder coat equipment, clean room, and the PVD systems like we have. The reason why he probably doesn't advertise or even let people know where its getting done is he is into the high volume wheel applications like the video I posted above. There is a ALOT of work and R&D that goes into establishing processes and its just not easy to make money and get consistent results on custom stuff. We have stayed true to our core competency and stuck with the liquid coatings. We are working on projects for the big 3 utilizing UV cured liquid coatings and PVD chrome to replace electroplated chrome its pretty neat technology. We were not part of it , but the 1st Ford Tarus SHO plastic tail lamp bezels are PVD chrome using the technology we offer. see pic below

If I remember right the first runs had failures with extreme temp change on plastic then the technology caught up. We looked at a early system with the expedited curing time and energy savings it was a win win with the right parts. I've seen some really awesome wheels and such with this process.
Keep us posted the info is great.

for your wheels, these were polished then clear coated / powder coated. this pic is 8 yrs old ... an yes there dirty!

Yes vapor deposition/vaccum metalizing/pvd (all the same) on plastics.
