SS they will put anything on a suv to sell. next thing is a GT Expedition .lol when you seen SS it use to be something.

The SS in the Trailblazer does mean something. The truck is powered by the LS6 motor and they have about 400 HP. Actually the trucks are only a few tenths shy of our Buicks (Stock for Stock) in 1/4 mile ETs.

LOL! You're kidding right?

A 400 HP LS2 and some nice appearance mods to boot. In stock form they run high 13s to low 14s stock. I would say it means plenty on the TrailBlazer.

Ironicaly, The TBSS will run w/ many "classic" SS cars.... stock for stock. (And so it w/ ABS, traction control, cd changer, cruise control, better handling, better fit and finish, higher build quality, longer warranty, and more room.) You're argument would have had more merit attacking the late 90s SS s-10 w/ the 4.3 vortec v6 that ran 15.8 1/4s...... Not the camaro/gto in a suv body.

I hear of transmission issues when modded nicely. I consider a AWD 3SS from time to time. Then I think about the car note that would cut into my GN account...No SS. :frown:

I went for a ride in AWD one last year. Otto was working on it. It had a different converter and some sort of tuner program and maybe something else but pretty much stock and that thing went like a raped ape from a roll at like 40 mph!

That truck was a good runner. I wanna say it had a cam in it>???

Forgive me Dusty, I found this on the Neal Chance site:

Martin Cox: Worlds Fastest TBSS

But why stop there? Martin also has another LSX powered vehicle, a 2006 Trail Blazer SS which also happens to be a world record holder!

This one uses our standard 1pc converter and is the fastest TBSS in the country. His best past so far has been a 9.27@145 in the heavyweight SUV - wow! Now that thing will haul the groceries!

Both very impressive performances Martin! Congrat's on setting records with both vehicles.
