Jason White ran 8.96!! in TSM trim.
I heard this from Josh.

Update from TSM as of RD 2 Qualifying

1. Jason White 8.96 @ 153
2. Chris Hogeland 9.26
3. Randy Alexander 9.30, he went 145.5 in previous round with Iron Heads
4. Tim Lemay 9.34
5. John Plogii 9.36 still with a 200 tranny
6. Walt Judy 9.39
7. Richie Balcom 9.40
8. Bob Slusser 9.82
9. Steve Pitts? 10.0

I will be checking details, don't kill me on spelling. =)

Thanks for the update John. Sounds like they are laying down some killer #'s out there this year. I think both Randy and John Plogii run iron heads (Walt Judy as well?) so they are both flying for their combinations. I think 9.20's are very doable for an iron headed combo and we might actually see it this year! Congrats to Jason on that 8 sec 109/TSM pass!

Z,

The Air is really good, the field is flying.
I only noted the Iron Heads for Randy because he has the ET and MPH record now. (separate passes)
Plogii has the TSM 200 record.

Otto,

I was speaking to Josh White on the cell phone and was baby sitting both kids.
I was lucky to get the information I did.
I asked about Duttweiler/Gallina and it sounds like they were overpowering the chassis or track.

Wanna see what Manny will put down once the wick it turned up. Congrats Jason, that's impressive. I know Jeff R will get his trans sorted out and be back at it right quick. Awesome updates. Thanks fellas.

Shev

Who's driving the Dutt/Gallina car now??

As far as Gallina's car it is a guy named Bill. He is a retired L.A. County Sheriff's Sergeant. He is sponsored by Team Sheriff Racing. On the first attempt they never made to the water box. They broke a pushrod. Had some over nighted put together and made a second pass but was over powering the track or the chassis, not sure which. They thrashed around and changed the convertor. I am not sure if they were able to get another pass in or not. I left the track around 5:30 pm.

After many tries here is a video. Sorry its not the greatest but we are working on a budget with an amatuer photographer / videographer but we are going to improve. That was an 8.56 at 160 as our camera operator forgot to get the timing tower.

That would be Bill Chaffin, he also use to be a Hollywood stunt double, cool guy. Here is his old stagell 4 barrel car.
