I just got my first turbo buick, WE4 and was wondering if there was anyone around the south jersey area(I'm in Ocean City) that could maybee help me out with this car. Nothings really wrong with it there is just a ton of little things that need to be looked at. Any help from a local guy would be cool.

Thanks,
Nick

Nick take a weekend & bring it back to the previous owner.Ron wasn't too nice to that car.I'm not that far away from where you picked it up.Plus I know the history of the entire car.Not to mention the original block is in my 86 gn ;)

The car doesnt have anything wrong with it that i cant fix myself, but i would like to get together with someone near me as a reference. I already sorted out most of the wireing problems, like those wires for the fan switch that isnt even nesessary. I have the fan now so it turns on when the car turns on and turns off when the car turns off. I took out the useless gauges that didnt work. Along with some of the wires that where run across the top of the motor. I tucked the wires away nicely. I got the gasket for the bottom of the turbo, It seems to have a lot of silicone now, and I ordered a clip for the tranny shifter linkage, which is curently held together with shoe string and sodering wire. The carpet and windshield will be replaced next week, along with the exhaust. There is a ton of nickle and dime things wrong with this car. I'm glad I got it to save it, because it is a seriously nice car with low miles, it just needs to be taken care of properly.

Nick That poor car was run thru the worst parts of Balt. city when Ron owned it.If the exhaust fell it was welded by a guy who had a welder & was close. That car was in my shop about 4 months ago.It had food from god knows when in the passenger floor.T-tops were leaking.Seals shot, etc etc etc.The car was sold last summer to him.I sent you an e-mail with the mods that I knew were done to the car by me.Everytime he had a problem it was the closest mechanic that could fix it.BTW last time I saw it the DS shock was missing, you may want to put that 1 back ;).Ron said he would get around to it. :( The last thing I did was get the fan to work off of the relay, originally it was a bypass or came on with the relay.Ron said the original relay went bad & was going to replace it with a new one.
Glad your going the extra mile to get the car back to where it should be.

It dosent need a lot of money, just some common scence and time. I'm glad that car cam einto my hands so that i could save it before it was too late. It really is starting to look like a 56k mile car again. I fixed weather striping too. Hopefully paint by the end of the summer, and she'll be ready for anything. Oh the rims are being replaced too, GTA rims in their place. Thanks again Brian you've been a big help as always.

Later,
Nick

Not sure if it's any help, but I'm in Toms River.
If you make it up this way, and need a pretty stock car for comparison purposes, I could meet up with you.
