Is it possible? Would like to keep the chrome but clean it up a bit. Next thing would be to chrome some fiberglass bumpers.
 
I am currently shaving the license plate holes and bumperettes (keeping main bumper strip) and will be Powdercoating almost chrome. I think it would take alot more detail work to chrome them.
 
That's not a bad idea. Eastwoods single stage chrome would probably be shinier than the almost chrome. Thanks for the input.
 
My father owned a chrome shop when I was a kid, long before the EPA got crazy. We welded quite a few bumper holes over the years. If it is done correctly you will not be able to see the mod, if not.......just like body work the better the prep the better the result.
 
I do some chrome powder coating and it looks great if the prep is done properly. BUT, it's not equal to chrome. Just really depends on what you are looking for and how much time and money you're willing to put into it.
