I know someone with a bone stock '11 Automatic 5.0 that went 12.56 @ 112.4 mph on Drag radials. The car had about a hundred miles on it. The new Mustangs are the real deal.

112mph with an auto is fantastic!

2011 gt

We just finished doing a build on a 2011 gt, bone stock with drag radials it ran 7.90s in the 1/8 mile. Bolted on new Ford Motorsport blower, cold air kit, using stock cats and exhaust on 93 pump gas. Did dyno session for magazine in NC over weekend, 614 rwhp 498 tq . Working on clutch issue's now but should get track times soon. These cars are the real deal and respond well to mods.

Wow, that is like 12.39 when converted to the 1/4.

I test drove an '11 Shelby GT500 6speed for our local school fundraiser. It was definately potent. I was shocked that the power was a little hesitant coming on. I would put it definately mid 12 second car. The salesman said he was going to trust my driving, lol. I did drive in with my 12.32 Suncoupe, and they duly noted and commented on it. It was nice, but no $55K nice. I am sure mods will help. He claimed rated HP was 550. I don't think that was at the wheels if so. My T is 10.81 and according to HP calculators, I am between 560 and 580. The Shelby definately didn't feel as powerful as it.

I work at Ford dealership so of course I have drove one, great driving car. I think they'd be a REAL fun car with just a x-pipe, and a steeper gear(4.10-4.30). Buddy of mine took his to dragstrip sunday, first time out and he ran 13.36. His car has mufflers and a tune for mods. I'm sure he can get better out of it no sweat, being this was first time at track in that car, and first time at track in manual trans car. He's always just ran his Lightning (auto), so was a whole new experience for him.

If you have any specific questions about the car, feel free to pm me and I'll help you anyway I can.

A few have hit our local track.. high 10s (Livernois car:eek:) to mid 12s !! Very impressive !!

'BrightSilverT' over on the MAGNA section of the other board has a red 5.0 convertible...
I think he said that he upgraded with a CAI and a "tune"; pretty sure he's got it down to the mid-12s [so far].

6 speed, 373 gear, brand new, doing a cai, exhaust, and tune. Will update. Sure runs good.

If you get a set of drag radials that could get you in the high 11s.
Please make a separate thread with your updates.

its an automatic 3.15 gear heavy conv. and it is down to 12.2's after a lighter driveshaft was installed. I know another 'member here' with an automatic coupe 3.15 geared car and he ran a 12.2 this weekend at the Buick vs Ford day at Atco with just a canned tune and cai. Leaving at idle.

115 MPH was the highest (stone stock) so far but not on that 12.66 pass. The third pass would of been quicker but I was bracket racing starting on the third pass and let out due to being to far ahead. Once I work out the launch the et may improve.

Went back to track, still "stone stock" now my best is a 12.31 with a 1.88 60 ft. with the traction control "ON" and 116 mph high with the automatic trans.

PS: There was a 2011 5.0 there with CAI and a tune, his best time as of my departure was a 12.6 something. He said to me that total stock he went 107 mph and I "think" he said a 13.1 et.

Since we're discussing fast stock cars...I'll "one up" you. I have a bone stock E55 AMG that went 12.0 @117 on regular radials. I hate to toot my own horn, but this thing flys for a stock 4 door sedan.
