What are you guys running for a gap with a plug like ar 133 using the TR6, thanks:)

with the cut-back strap, these plugs seem to lend themselves to narrower gaps just by design.

With GN1 heads, I run the AR472, AR473, AR474 with a TR6. I run the gap around .028

I'm running AR 3933 untouched from the box on GN1's

I am running irons and alky. Street car 98% of the time.

Why people keep asking what gap they should run with this plug or these heads or this whatever is beyond me.

When will people realize that no two setups are the same or that any gap that Joe blow runs is right for you. Is your ignition system 100% ?? How do you use the car??? What fuel type????

Someone running high boost will be running a tighter gap than someone running 15lbs. There are just to many variables for someone to recommend a gap for someone else.
If someone wants to get in the ballpark and ask this question because they are totally clueless is one thing but to except the answer of say use a 28 gap is ludicrous.
That gap may work for one but leave a lot to be desired for someone else.

What people should be asking is, how do I read a plug properly so that I can learn to set my gap properly, and know that my engine is running it's best.

Sorry for the rant, but if people want to learn they should ask the right questions.

Go back under your rock. You obviously have nothing positive or useful too add. Belittleing and trying to make people feel stupid just makes yourself look stupid and you are quite good at it...:p

Get off your lazy or dumb ass and learn how to read a spark plug and you wouldn't have to feel threatened by those who know how to.:p
Why don't you do this and go run your car and post some numbers up.

Back to topic. I have been running them at .028 and then opened them to .032. No issues at 20psi. Iron heads and alky.

About time your sarcastic ass showed up.

I'll post some times as soon as I get my PTC9.5nl installed. :p

I noticed you haven't been back to refute what Lonnie or Jason posted in that thread.

Did your mommy not love you enough when you were a child Brian?? Oh wait you still are one I'm sorry.
You think you're funny? I don't need to refute anything. The cars Perfomance speaks for itself. Have a nice vacation jack ass.

I've run .028 and not had any issues, that number seems to float around alot and as it may not be exact for everyone, it seems to work for most

Thanks to those who have provided positive input. A search yields very little info on cut back strap plugs. I personally have no experience with them.

I should've mentioned that I would probably run a wider gap if the plug did not have the cut back strap. The TR6 can certainly support it.
