Are flex connectors restrictive???

I just made a DP for my car and i am planing on using a flex connector to bridge the gap between the DP and the rest of the exhaust. Id like to know if the flex connectors can be or are a restriction??
Do they have a much smaller inner diameter than its ends?

And The exhaust will move up and line up with the DP just missing a hanger right now.

I wouldn't think that would create much of a restriction. However, I don't think you want that braided inner liner. High heat tends to "crispify" it, and it will sag/burn out, and could cause a restriction.
Take a look at Columbia River, and some of the other pipe/bend suppliers. They have one that'll work w/ a turbo app.

I don't think you will get that much misalignment out of it though...they only flex a little bit.

Dont mean to hijack but you think.slip joint bellows would be good for someone w a dump welded to the down pipe. Ya know for 2 piece removal

That's expensive! I think I'll be using one of the flex pieces with the flexpipe inside and mesh on the out. Just want to relieve stress on the exhaust at the cat replacement pipe.

That should work.....What I use on the LS system.

^^^ That one. I also used a 2" Bellows style, [Inconel], on the wastegate to down pipe tube.

I modded the split flange to use 2" tube.
