^^I just realized you're both a nut-job, and my new hero.;) I too have been planning a very similar tear-down on my GN in the future: powder coated frame, stainless hardware throughout, etc. I've already coated every piece of metal out of my engine bay that fits in my toaster oven, plus some that don't. Also in process of replacing the engine bay hardware with stainless socket cap screws. When it comes to corrosion, we Michiganders think alike, eh?:biggrin:

My only problem is finding/building a rotisserie that fits both my little GN and my 21' long Lincoln. Ahh, retirement will be great. Only 26 years to go...

You are correct. I am indeed a nut job. I have ocd. A lot of that is due to the fact that it was my combat pay I spent, on this car. That's why it's my prize possession. :)

:) I have thick skin. We harrass each other incessantly at work. I mean to no end.
As for polishing, why yes I do. I have a set of Italian crank arms I'd like you to have a go at. Where do I send 'em.

The two of you should go in together on the stainless hardware - the more you buy of a given size the cheaper they get :-). Heck buy several extra and sell bolt kits on ebay. McMaster Carr has the best estore, period, and their service is awesome. Grainger and MSC are ok but don't have the bolt selection McMC has. If you need metric stainless steel bolts check Brikksen, Inc., Source for Metric Stainless Steel Fasteners, that's who McMC buys a lot of their stuff from so you can save about 60-70%. Actually, I think they carry standard stuff now along with metric, but here at work we use lots of metric stainless and little standard stuff so I haven't bothered to check on that. If Brikksen has a minimum order it is $25 at most, so start there.

that isnt just a circuit card. It is a circuit card delivered to their door.
They save the gas, time and hassle and have time for more important things, right?
Just because they know what it costs, and how much they need to make to be in business and be profitable, that doesn't make them out of their minds.

My ****in ass. Don't tell me you can't distinguish the difference between a profit margin and greed. Let's not be unrealistic here. Please. I know the differences thank you.

LOL Ok I know you didn't even read what you typed before you posted. However coming from someone who has dealt with and still does deal with the supply system, most of the expense does not come from the shipping. Otherwise everything, even the typical grade 8 bolts we use would run $400 just for one.

I know.. lol I was just ****in around. I still think however, those bolts could be a little cheaper, without anyone suffering too bad.
