Im at 123MPH (crappy 11.10 with bad 60'). Im looking for mid-high 10's next year. When do the stock exhaust manifolds become a restriction (or should I say, at what ET would I benefit from headers)? Thanks in advance.

I have seen people running mid tens on the stockers, I would say about then would probably look into something a little better. Although if you are doing this on a production block, I think there are more issues than exhaust to deal with. Sounds like you are on your way to some 10's. Get some traction and you should be there depending on what you mean by crappy 60'. Good luck

You probably have a couple more mph left before they are a necessity, I would save the money into suspension and things like line locks, or a trans break or whatever will help you launch right now

I am lost here. I thought TR's all came with headers and not manifolds? Please set me straight :-)

Or are you asking about upgrading from the stock headers to aftermarket?

Yes, they have factory stainless headers. They are talking about the stock pipes vs aftermarket(Hooker or similar).

I think headers would be way down on your shopping list.....improving your 60' times is where the money should be spent.....you have the power for 10's now

As long as your stock headers aren't cracked and leaking (like mine) they should be fine for a high-mid 10 second car considering there is a guy that I know that is running low 10's with the stock headers.... I would definately spend the money on some suspension mods like maybe the ATR rear sway bar, some 90/10 Drag shocks, airbags, etc. or maybe even a trans-brake so you can see what it's like to launch with 15-20lbs of boost!

Well my factory unported headers are going 10.40'@132.5 mph, id say they work. I will be going 135 next spring with them, so stay tuned.

:)
