Just purchased this stuff have heard great things about it. Been running regular type f for a while now. Want to switch to synthetic before I hit the track

Please post any experience or comments related to running a synthetic type F

Thx

Pretty sure type F has pretty much been abandoned since Dextron VI came along.

I still run f in mine. Tried synthetic amsoil on new tranny and wiped a clutch. Went back to regular type f after that but would like to go to synthetic again.

For clarification when I ruined the new transmission I used this. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...c-automatic-transmission-fluid/?code=ATFQT-EA

I called amsoil about it and they said I used the wrong fluid. The one I used is for optimal lubrication and efficiency with friction modifiers that would cause high performance transmissions to slip. I also put it in my stsv and my escalade with no problems. They said I had to use this instead which is built for racing. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...ing-transmission-fluid-sae-10w/?code=ARTQT-EA

Live and learn. I've been running regular F ever since as my transmission builder said he would void my warranty if I ever put synthetic in again, lol. He wasn't happy about having to pull it and rebuild it with new clutches after the test drive.

5 years and 30k miles later my tranny is still going strong.

I'm interested in the swap from regular type f to synthetic and any experience good or bad
