Just dynoed the GN and we had to back off before we pushed it all the way because of some smoke on the Pass side. Got 440 RWHP @ 5100 & 533 Torque @ 4000. Had ~ 21 # and the Cat was still on. We had the hood open, and it was kinda scary how the inlet pipe to the TB was swelling and twisting sideways.
I was going to run it 2 days later and had pulled the cat for a straight pipe w dump & was going to dump @ the track. but then I noticed why it was smoking - the wires on the inner rail are only ~ ½-1" from the bottom of the ATR Pass header, so I think that was what was burning. In fact there was a white spot on the bottom of the header. Looking close, the insulation on the Neg battery lead was melted thru on one spot. So, I guess I'll have to relocate the wires.
Anybody else have this problem ?
