Is there significant difference between the two product? I'm leaning towards the liquid intercooler to gain more clearance in lowering the car. Any thoughts here? Thanks.

Just curious... Why dont we see them around if they are better? Seems like all advancements for our cars are Air to Air... (Dont mean to jack thread)

Without ICe in the tank the liquid will run hotter about 15 -20f above ambient temps, due to losses in efficiency between 2 radiators rather than 1 front mount. With Ice the liquid will win every time. For the street a big front mount is the way to go.

A good SLIC IC will be your best bet along with an alky inj system.

As norbs pointed out. Liquid/Air intercoolers are pretty much totally impractical for a street driven daily driver. Even if you have a seperate heat exchanger (radiator) (like the sy/ty uses) to cool the intercooler's liquid, it can only be cooled so much and the efficiency will suffer badly.
If you're unfortunate enough to have a liquid/air intercooler that doesn't have a way to chill the liquid, then you'd be running an inter"heater" not intercooler. You'd be better off without an intercooler.
Stay away from the ATR unit.

For a race only vehicle Nothing can beat a good liquid/air intercooler. But the liquid/ice is changed on every run.

For a street car, you have a couple of choices depending on just how much you want to cool the charge air. SLIC will work nicely, but front mounts will cool substantially better, but will need a good cooling system to mitigate any overheating.

ATR liquid was very expensive & ATR is out of business now.

I intend to do some experiments to see if it is practical on the street. As mentioned earlier, it may actually not be as cool as a streatch or front mount.

Streatch, which I am currently running, has an issue with no protection from pulling up to a curb - don't ask how I know.

Front mount interferes with airflow through the radiator & can cause cooling issues.

Nothings perfect, however, I have an ATR & a streatch to experiment with.

The streach did give me an additional 10* ambient before it has temperature related performance issues.
