Autometer guages

I'm thumbing thru the new 2004 Autometer guage catalog...

It seems the product line of "Ultra Lite" gauges has become the largest & broadest, moving ahead of the venerable, classic "Sport Comp" line (which I've always had a soft spot for).

The Ultra-Lites certainly are pretty, but have they become that much more popular??

What do you guys see a lot of ? (non-Buick as well as Buick).

Is the Ultra-Lite look in danger of becoming a "fad" ??

I have ultra lites in my car strictly for the purpose of matching the rest of in interior. I'm not a fan of white face gauges and I just figured the black ones would be harder to read at night. I love the cobalt series, but I'm not dropping that kind of jack for gauges.

Most of the people I know use the black pro comp or carbon fiber series. I'm starting to take a liking to the lunar series because the whole dial lights up, not just the edges.


oh yeah...and Dale Jr. has ultra lites in his car and he's my boy!
