Hope everyone had a great and safe Christmas and New Years. Hopefully we all spent this time surrounded by loved ones, family and friends.

I wanted to share a couple pictures with you guys and gals that hopefully you will enjoy. Hopefully this will bring memories back to the Veterans and exmilitary folks. Enjoy ;)

Luckily I only have 2 more months here in NY :)

Just another -10 degree morning.

Its at Fort Drum, NY. 80 miles North of Syracuse, NY. About 20 miles South of Kingston, ON Canada. Oh yeah, if I was in TX I wouldn't miss it one bit.

Snow blower!!!

Haha. No no no! That would be using too much brain power to think of that idea. Plus, our snow blower from 1996 has stopped working 10 years ago I heard. :)

Nothing like some good discipline shoveling snow. Plus I heard it makes your back strong. Hahaha.

Doesn't bring back military memories for me. We never had to dig out the ships. We did get a couple inches of snow in Virginia Beach one winter and the city shut down. Wrecks everywhere.

Yea I hear you on wrecks. On the drive to work this morning (roughly 15 miles) I saw 3 cars on the side of the road stuck in the snow bank. I was going 35mph on a 55mph zone. Roads had fresh salt, but there was heavy winds pushing the snow on to the road. Not to mention the driver of a Tan Tahoe who passed me in a single lane highway going 60mph+ uphill......??

We got 10+ inches here in Indiana the day after Christmas and I only noticed one car off the road and it was a Mexican from Texas.

At boot camp in Chicago we had a lot of southerner's and we were there during the winter. It is sooooo fun watching guys from Mississippi and Hawaii trying to walk on snow and ice for the first time. We had a tall guy from Shreveport, Louisiana and he had a really hard time with the ice. He would be walking down the sidewalk and slip, taking out four or five guys with him. It made the marching back and forth enjoyable! I was constantly laughing. The poor guy never adapted to the ice!
