Cheap price for one hell of a car. I got a ride in one last weekend, and it's a fast lil sucka. I was told that on a cold day, on stock tires, out of the showroom, the ZO6 does an 11.4 in the quarter. And I got a sly smile when asked what it does on drag radials- no answer, though. I couldn't talk the key fob from the GM engineer- who just happens to be the Director of GM Performance Cars. e.

I think I need to start saving my pennies

Just save the 1 lb billet gold ones, the CU ones will take forever to accumulate enough to even make a down payment. :)

You can save all you want, then save more

Just wait and see the individual GM dealers markups and it will make you sick. Its happened with every new sports car released in the last 10 years.

65k is an awesome price for a car like that, but we wont get to pay that.

BTW I saw this new ZO6 being driven on Scottsville Rd in Bowling Green. It was absolutely Bad Ass. It looked awesome and it sounded mean. I have video of it..

I got to see the new z06 "not being built" while on a plant tour this past yr at BG... "Oh, I can't comment on that" was the standard reply to every ZO6 related question. The rotors and calipers on that thing are HUUUGE!

Yeah, we took the tour of the plant while at the NAts last month and got that same standard relpy....then one guy in the group at the end where there was a dark blue one sitting behind everything yells out .. "Hey is that a Z06!!!?" and a worker looks up and waves the guy over...
The guy jumped across the assemly line and the worker lets him get in and even start it up!!

At the next tour stop, at the very end, there were 2 Z06s being worked on that had something wrong with them at the end of the assembly process...a silver and a black one....this was on Thursday morning of the Nats.

Cool story, I spotted a few on the line being built, hard to miss!
And saw a burnt orange one being worked on at the end too..we had no such being waved over luck though!!

They are a very nice looking car in person. The meats on the rear are very impressive coming from GM as well as the wheels. One very sharp car and its almost completely different than the standard Vette as far as its character goes on the outside appearence as well as under its skin.
