not much from the 80's and 90's is worth much because people had the forsight to keep cards mint by then...supply is plentyful..demand is low. not many kids from the 50's and 60's were saving cards so finding mint ones are rare... supply is few, demand and price are high... its simple business. i had stuff that was worth in the 100"s from the 90;s that isnt worth much more than $20 now. the train left the station for the cards from the 90's. you most likely will need to hold them for another 30 years...and who know if people will even car about baseball by then. If you have specific players like Ken griffey JR sell around the time of his retirement or hall of fame induction.
The biggest problem came when they flodded the market in the early 90's. companies had more than one brand of cards (ie topps, topps stadium club, etc..) complete topps sets are worth money if its a TOPPS Tiffany set ( tiffany sets are the same as regular but printed with a glossy finish, this meant something back before they all were that way) 89 upper deck complete set (first year) is worth decent money too., I got out of cards in the mid 90's...mostly because i was in high school and switching my interests to cars but also because i couldnt keep up anymore...there was too much out there.
