Am on long island ny its going to get pretty nasty here in a couple of hours my car is all tucked away we cleand out everything from our yard .its going to be pretty bad !!!!!!!! All you see in the streets is natianol guards in humvees !!! And command posts. I don't think the news is teeling all there is just to much going on

We have 4 cell phones jay all charged gas tanks filled and chain saw ready spot lights with rechargable batteries plenty of iced and pray for the best

Wilmington,N.C. checking in. I can tell you, we have had worse hurricanes, but i don't think longer ones. My power was out for 16 hrs., siding gone off the house, alot of friends and family still w/o power. This thing was huge, and lasted for a long time. Glad it is gone and noone was hurt.

Maryland here and all is well except tons of trees down! Lucked out and the power only flashed a few times.. No major problems!

We did not see winds past 40mph where I live more flooding than anything the news scared more people than anything as always but all is good here for me and my buick is safe !!!!!!!!!

the winds speed seemed higher here in ny around 330-5am.lots of rain though but she has picked up speed so hopefully heads out faster.

i was at his shop until 1:30 AM Saturday (Friday night) putting things on shelves and moving things around

Rain blowing sideways here right now. Went on the porch to clear out the downspout and got soaked in seconds. If this was January we would be up to our chests in snow drifts. Hope this isn't a preview of winter.
