Uncle Sam wants You!....to spend his/your tax dollars via the rebate. Due in May just in time for the Nats. What's a best buy for the $600 for a mostly stock GN? If you were to spend the entire amount on your TurboBuick what would you do with it?

More specifically, the Julio Don AlkyControl kit, Eric marshall's TurboTweak alky chip, and a friend to help you tune if you can't and you will not believe what a difference that combination will net you. HTH

Take my TR for dinner and a movie. LOL  Still will have money for a good tune up and maybe a tach...

All it's going to do is reduce your next tax refund by the amount you're getting.

If you're like me, and usually have to pay Uncle Sam at the end of the year, you need to stick that rebate in the bank, because you'll just have to give it back in April of 2009.

Then you can spend the interest on a pack of gum or something.

my suggestion would be pay down debt that you may have....pretend you never got the money. :)

That is so true.

I suggest going a little greener with your home. That is going to be a HUGE selling point in a few years from now. Examples: Grow a garden, replace all light bulbs with CFL bulbs,Look into burning wood, add another window on south side, ect. You can find a lot of info on the net about this. I have my utilities down to 100 a month all year around! It all works.

BTW I live on the NW side of IL. to give you an idea.

Pffft, what kind of Buick forum is this? Is doesn't matter if you really SHOULD spend the rebate on your car, just do it. :)

Well said !

Alky or save/invest it.

What a great idea to put the money back into your house. I have the big window in our living room that needs to be upgraded to a more efficient design. Already burning wood via our wood furnace, that saves $300 a month in the winter$$$ We were planning to try and pay the last bit of my daily driver off with ours.

If you must put it in the GN, I would go with alky and a tt chip.

Other than the house and one car payment I have no debt. Texas utility bills aren't bad so I'm as green as I'll get. I'll have the car longer than the house so I'm really liking the alky idea.

My $1,600.00 return was invested in a plane ticket to Thailand for a 2 week vacation.... I actually had a few hundred left over for beer money over there....

Should be able to get alky and drag radials, instant 12 second car if you know how to do it.

BUT

What if you already have that?

What will I do with mine? Maybe some nice modeling programs to complement my studies. Oooh, maybe a desktop so I don't have to use this crumby laptop...

If this was 2009 it would be the Kirban's adapter for transplanting the LC2 into my Chevelle.

If Sammy boy wants us lower class to spend money then give us AHHHH $10,000 and that will pay up all the bills and do the regal and MAYBE send the wifes to do some shopping (ONLY $1,000 for them, they bargin shop)

can't wait for mine :D , i see an aluminum drive shaft coming soon:biggrin:
