I thrashed on my beater WH1, which started as a roller about two weeks before the event. The motor needed assembled, and I had to make a downpipe to clear my ATR headers. I managed to get the car running, but not good enough to drive 400 miles, which was my original plan. Clint talked me into bringing it down and told me we'd figure it out.
That Thursday morning of the event, I asked Richard a couple of questions about my car. He ended up spending a good portion of that day helping me. In a sea of beautiful turbo Regals, there was Richard under the hood of my rusty WH1. What a class act. I wanted to thank him personally that day, but never got the chance. Seems he was being pulled in all directions.
