Kevin,
I wish I could help you out more... I've personally owned/built/installed cars with one/some of the following:
Limit Engineering Te45a (most were Q-trim, some P-trim)
Limit Engineering Ta66 Q-trim
Limit Engineering GT67 Q-trim
If you search on the board here you'll see where I got a local guy one of the very first billet 6768 turbos.
K.
Well, tried again yesterday. Had the boost spike to 31 psi then fell to 27 all in 1st gear. In second, 27 and third it stayed at 29psi. A/F avg 10.8. IAT 142 before it was hit with methanol from an m10 & m15. Timing 25/23. 110 in the tank. Going to try an open dump pipe and a few other thing next weekend. This run matched the 70 GTQ at 22-23 psi. It does spool to from 10 to 30 Psi in exactly one second though on 17* of timing says the powerlogger. I will post the two runs later.
The first was right off the trailer and rather dull. Boost was 25-27psi and timing was 23/21. Same a/f and IAT was 131 before the meth.
Are these IATs normal for that boost and a CAS V2 FMIC?
why only 17 deg of timing during spoolup?
Ok, this Turbo needs good heads and an all around good combo to perform. Just saw the difference between this Turbo bolted to a built engine and a stocker. Same car, same Turbo, totally different combos, very different results. I believe this Turbo may not be the magic piece on your stock engine....but an engine with the right parts will yield good results. Looks like I am going to have to start saving![]()
Thats my friends car and umm yea he blowed it up about 2 weeks ago... It was running consistent 10.50s but he was running 35psiKevinB,
This thread may be of interest to you. This guy has the fastest time I have seen posted on this board with the billet wheel 6765, but he is running 33psi. 10.62 @128 I think the stock cam is really holding him back with the rest of his combo. The mph isnt where I would expect it to be, but who knows with the right cam??

Im still on the fence.
The V2 FMIC wasn't intended for high cfm turbos like the Billet 67
I think there was a big turbo V1 that posted a low 110 IAT temp from a track outing years ago. Tony knew his stuff and made the V1 for those turbos. But with Meth it comes down to core backpressure IMO now.
FWIW, Cottons FMIC has a better pressure drop which is a bigger deal when running a huge turbo at close to 30psi since you can make up for any lack of heat transfer with the Meth.
