does anyone use these?do you feel they are necessary?why?are your failures traced to these parts? are there any design improvements that can improve pump performance anyone has in mind?i can easily set up to make them but is it worth the effort?id like to hear from you.

For the line pressures i run i dont think their necessary. Im sure they would help if you were planning on over 300 psi line though.

Depending on price,These would be just like insurance,I have broken them before, somewhat rare though.
I tried blocking the pump slide a few times to maintain
pressures at higher rpm but the rotor was short lived each time.
At this point I havent had to block them with all the newer boost valves and reg systems avaialble.
But like Brian said,For guys running over 300#s it would be a great idea

anyone have any ideas on how to improve these items beyond material changes?

Well sicne some people think 10 viens are not enough and 13 are too much.
Why not an 11 or 12 vien?:D

You could increase the pump volume by increasing the pump area. I doubt it would matter much though and might lead to other problems.

Billet rotors and slides

Richard Clark and I have 100 of these sets in stock. We have been selling them without any problems. Not one has failed.
They are 10 vane and come in selective sizes if you do not have access to a mill to set the rotor pocket. We can replace them to YOUR specs, and work with you to set up correctly.
GREAT Product!!!!!! Ask anybody who has used them.
In stock and ready to ship.

Let us know.

I guess its time to start looking into the logistics and start programming the machine.I will see about making some improvements that will benefit the design beyond the materials change.

Hey Chris the main need for billet rotor is on 4l60s i broke 2 13 vein rotors in a short time . I went with a billet one from Lonnie at Extreme automatics and its been in there 2 years no problems . I can tell you this 13 veins takes the pulsation out of the unit but the rotors alot weaker i prefer a 7 vane as it flows more fluid just buzzes and annoys you . I have bought 3 core 4l60s and all of them had broken rotors on a 2004r its a nice upgrade but i never broken one .Laz
