I bought a Billet Servo for my 86 KCF 200 4R. I have the tranny partially assembled right now ( Im at the point of installing the center support). How do I go about setting the band clearence? The Servo has a thick spacer with two washers (I guess for changing the length of it). I am using the stock band pin.

Also, out of curiosity, Why doesn't the billet servo have the steel inner piston like the factory one? Does it push off the servo from the 2-3 shift?

I did a search on this and found nothing on it, so I figured I post this question.

as far as setting the clearance without the special tool, dial indicator and torque wrench I'm not sure but maybe there is a way and someone else might chime in on that and the small piston is left out 'cuz it is no longer need except for as a spacer depending on what pin or setup on the pin you are useing but the space, gap, void left from the piston needs to be compesated for also most shift kits tell you to just leave the seal off of it even if your not useing a billet servo and bruce has said not to even use the big cushion spring. hope this helps and I'm sure you will get more replies that are hopefully more in depth. I would call where you purchased and ask. I Bet they know.
BTW, we got it down pat and very easy to do. Ask anyone who has run a PTS 11. Easy to set and work great. .030 clearence or .015 a side.
