Billet specialties street light wheels

I'm not sure on the size for the rear rims i want. Was looking at 15x8 with a bs of 3.5. Or try to get a 15x10 with a 4.5 bs . I want the best fitting size for the car. Was looking at 275/60/15 for it? Havent bought rims in a long time so hoping for some respondes.

I like the tucked up look of the 15x8. 15x10 looks "squatty" to me, especially when real narrow fronts are on there.

I can't help much in the size/fit department but can tell you the quality of the billet specialty wheels are incredible,I bought my truck a while back because of it's sleeper qualities, but have since become a fan of the billet specialty wheels,when i bought it i figured the wheels were new,maybe a few months old but when i looked thru the reciepts ,they are actually 18 yrs old,(bought in 96)but still look almost new. In the picture they are not even cleaned up or polished,I have since taken a little maguires aluminum polish and did a couple spots + they look like a mirror,And these were not on a garage queen for the last 18 yrs,i'm guessing not garaged for the majority if not the whole time.I know for the last few yrs the truck was parked in a grass/dirt yard under pine tree's when not in use,so not exactly the best conditions for aluminum wheels.
Once the weather warms up and i can wash + polish them i don't think they will able to be told from new

Do they have a 4"bs option for the 15X8s? Majority of people running 8s are running 4"bs. If you go 10s with 4.5bs you might have to take the wheel well trim off or even roll the lip and still might rub the frame (I have no experience with 10s) The 8.5s I had with stock 3.5"bs would have required my fender trim to come off and it wasn't worth it just to run drag radials once a year, and they were only 255s. It put the extra 1.5 inches all to the outside which is what the 3.5bs would do on the 8".

Here are a few pictures of my GN back when I had Billet Specialties "Street Lites" on it. They were 15"x7" fronts (stock tire and wheel size) and 15"x10" rears with P275-60-15 tires.

15x8 4" BS on the rear 275/60/15 with aluminum drums. No rubbing, I tried a friends 15x8 3.5 BS the rubbed the fender lip!!!

I like the tucked rims also so I'll go with 15x8 on back * WOULD 4 BS be best then? Sounds like it. wish they made 15x8.5 but only list 8 inch---

So 15x7 3.5 bs on front
15x8 4 bs on rear
for best fitting?

Tire size on rear -going to run radials- for now 245-60 15 is the best i can find at discount tire-will that be enough tire? whats everyone running

4" BS are harder to find , those are aluma stars on the back !!!! The jeggs web site for wheels and you can see what is offered with 4" BS, you might be ok with 3.5 BS and that tire size (245/60/15) but the 275/60/15 4" BS is better. I have run the 275/60/15 on stock GN wheels they find great also.but are a 7" wide rim!!

Right I saw the diffence in the rim. I'm sure 4.5 would be too much so I'll have to say with 3.5bs .

talked to billet specialties and they only make rims in 1/2 bs increments . crap i guess

15x8 with 4 to 4.5" backspace with a small spacer or aluminum drums would work out for you if you can get that size...

You can get a 15x8 wheel with 4.5 bs and I've already got aluminum drums on it but Everyone says it will rub.

i have same setup with weld rtss...15x8.25..no rub...but wheels do vary a little... i wanted to go a little wider.. maybe you should buy my welds from me?

For clarity.. mine are weld rts 15x8.26 with 4.5" backspace with aluminum drums.. tires are 275 pro drag radial. there's no rubbing, but I can see that there could be depending on the actual tire you run.

I used to have Telstars 15x8 with 4" backspace which is ideal for many different tires. I ran them with street radials and 28x10 slicks.. and the slicks would rub sometimes going around curbs..

Beware of the lug nuts that you may get w/ your Street lites..
Use the McGards.
The Gorilla nuts/washers that they sell are JUNK...

I'd like to race the car. Will they let you run spacers at the track? Yes I've seen and had problems myself with cheep lug nuts so I'm getting good ones. Since I am running aluminum drums. Wouldn't it just be better to run iron drums with a 3.5bs and maybe trim the lip a hair??
