I was going to go to a car show and race Sat. Wanted to dial in the car a bit first. Way rich at 9.75 A/F. It never went past 10.5 a/f. 27.2lbs of boost, mostly at 25lb. 0 knock on the FAST. Good thing I retired, have time to fix it and still go, just may not race. Guess I could turn the boost down and tune some more. Also, egt was at 1520. And it didn't really blow out, it hurt it. It is pushing water.

steel shim

single steel shim with the GE 1200 and ARP bolts. A retorque might help along with less boost. Motor is still to hot to do any work.

If it's a small leak with the steel and no coolant is mixing with the oil I might try a retorque.

fixed it this morning. Retorqued and dropped the boost to 21. Had it towed home. Broke the cam in 3 places. Broke at least two rods. Broke 3 lifters and push rods. Also the webbing in the block.

Sorry to hear that.Like you said ,good thing you're retired. That should give you something to stay busy at for while.Looks like you'll be looking for a complete engine.Sorry again and good luck with the rebuild.

Wasn't this the car that had the E85 mix and was running super lean??

If so, the damage started before the deadly run that did the deed.

Sorry to hear, these things are way to soft for my liking too.

RJC headgaskets and a roller are the way to go.

located a short block a couple of hours ago. I will be getting a smaller turbo and turning it all down to run 11.50. Pulled the cage 3 years ago because I was done going fast.
