Is their anything I can do to stop the fuild from coming out of the vent short of putting on a catch bottle?
I notice it last fall on the dyno but I thought I had it overfull, checked the fluid & it's just about a 1/4 inch below full.
Went for a couple of hard runs & fluid sprayed in the tunnel & on ex.

pump crossleaks have been known to cause that also.pump faces may not be flat

Chris it's got a pump that I got from you last year.

BTW still haven't put the gov in that you sent :D

Since I have to take the pump out cause the front seal is leaking a bit, maybe I should touch up the pump halves on a flat surface just to make sure.

we deck the pump halves so its assumable you have another issue.is the trans getting hot ?is it under a load?is it overfull?does the torque converter empty into the pan at night making the oil level excessively high if you check before starting it up?is the pump gasket of center?

I don't have a temp guage, but I'm using the biggest B&M stacked plate cooler. I does it after I run it hard, was really noticable on the chassis dyno.
I'm running it about a 1/4 inch below the full.
The level is about 1 inch overfull before starting. been sitting for 3 days.

overheating the fluid on the dyno is common because of the lack of air flowing thru the radiator

Full power pull 6-7 sec. I understand the lack of airflow but would it really overheat to the point of blowing out the vent.
At any rate I'm pulling it & pulling the pump.
Fluid looked good, trans still shifts good just the fluid out of the vent & the front seal that worries me.

I think I might be having a similar problem........hrmmm..... after I beat on the car I get fluid on the passenger side, on the exh and in the tunnel.....
