Good lord. Very nicely done.

That is one of the best thought out Buicks I've seen in a long time. It's nice to see that there are still people who are willing to bring it to the next level. We need this kind of motivation.

Mike you sure have that right. I've have seen a few twin turbos before, however they could not hold a candle to this one

Joeys car is nuts hope to see it in person soon,

Hope the board is finally back to normal lost posts threads and messages

My word Joey, thought I had some money tied up in my car. However if it runs like it looks, well the only thing that I can think of >> 1st class. One of the best I have ever seen.
It runs better than I planned. We think it will go into the 8's on moderate boost, 93 pump gas and alky. It's been 9's on LOW street boost. I don't own a truck or trailer so it has to run good. I have driven it all over the Northeast. Twice I had my girlfriend following me to the track in my daily drivers. And they broke. I used the Buick to bail them out!

I'm not saying I'm never going to have a bad day with the TR. Because one day it will happen. Just not in the past 8 years with this set up.

The story of it's design and development can go on for ever. I'll save you from the details. But I will tell you that the whole package is top notch.

But now you see how frustrating it is to not have it on the road. Winter abruptly ended and caught me with my pants down. Now I'm rushing to complete other tasks so I can get this thing out of the garage.

Yes, I too studied many twin turbo set-ups before building mine. I looked at both Buick and non-Buick motors. I liked something about them all. But I didn't like everything about any of them.

I asked J. Cotton to get involved and soon realized our friendship would be strained and in serious jeopardy if we worked together on the fabrication! Besides, I can be difficult at times.

So, I started drawing plans on paper and writing material lists. Then I bought a cheap Craftsman welding machine and started spotting-up stuff myself. Jack continued to supply components and provide advice. But all of the fabrication was done on a mock-up broken motor 120 miles from Cotton's Performance. At my house.

The story goes on............

Don't forget, it's not just the motor and twin turbos . Also, every part of this car involved design and planned fabrication.

One of my favorite turbo Buicks...Once in awhile, get to see it up close ;seeing it at an event or when he comes to hang with us in Long Island.Best day Joey had was at Cecil..It runs as good as it looks. That was an awesome day..

That day would never have been so good if it were not for the presents of you, Ali and all the rest of my beloved friends. You helped make it great. I have received trophies and kudos from many shows and miscellaneous peoples. They don't mean much unless you have someone to share them with. That's why I wanted to go to Cecil.

I'm only sorry Victoria wasn't there. We left on a weekday and she could not miss that day at school.

Bruce, The worst part is that while I'm wrapped up in all these chores, I see all these punks driving their Hot-Rods around town enjoying the new spring weather! I get so disturbed when I pull to a red light next to some jerk in his Ferrari and I'm in my 98 Honda Civic with a rusty roof and missing hub caps. I want to say "wait right here, I'll be back in a few weeks to hand you your ass!" But instead, I just keep my head down and pretend not to notice so as not to give him the satisfaction he's looking for..........also I hope no one notices me either.

I know exactly how you feel....and with a car like you have, I'll bet it's killing you! I'd feel the same way! By the way, your Buick.......I just don't know what to say....words escape me on how to describe it........all I can say is "I'm speechless!!!" "Stunned!"

Hey Bruce you make me feel good, I only have half as much as you! ;) Thanks man

Hey! Glad I could help!

Now this should help you even more!!!:D The day before yesterday, I was up on the kitchen sink trying to catch this bee that was trapped in our bay window......had a high seat chair below me so I could get on the counter......yep.....I slipped trying to get it, fell off the counter, knocking the chair over sideways while I was heading toward the nice hard kitchen floor, ripped the front of my right leg all the way from the kneecap to my ankle of all skin with all my weight on the chair edge, and SLAMMED onto the floor!!!! Did I ever hurt!
Took me a few minutes to get up....had the wind knocked out of me. Blood everywhere, looked like the inside of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre Garaged, and I was overwhelmed with pain! Could hardly stand....my loving wife came running in, thought an elephant fell on the roof, helped me into the living room, got some bandages, banded me up, put a cold pack on my knee.......so, no sleep at all that night, but had to have my wife drive us to the store the next day so I could help he shop for groceries, as I insisted on doing it! My leg is now swollen up to the size of a fence post, the knee is purple, and the bandages rip the scabs off every time I ask my wife to change them. Thus, I have to postpone the last side of the garage cleaning until later. As well as all the other crap I was "going" to do! Now I'm limping like Chester of Gunsmoke.

Consider yourself a very lucky man!!!

Here's my garage.....with only three sides pressure washed. (sigh)

To think, I was up on the roof of the smaller garage with a hose, scrub brush and soap....I didn't fall off of the roof like people are supposed to do, I fell off a kitchen counter!
All chores on hold for now, due to my clumsiness! What an idiot I am!!!!!

PS: In the third picture, you can see I didn't clean around the light...there's a little bird nest there with a momma bird in it. I'll have to wait until fall probably to clean it.

Oh my God! I hurt my self doing yard work! Last Saturday.

I karate kicked an old 2x4 to snap it in half and the high side swung upwards on the break and slammed into my back. Knocked the wind out of me bad. I shook it off, licked my wounds and went back to doing stuff. I went to work this week thinking all would be fine. It was sore so I was taking it slow.

Yesterday, I was doing a ceiling repair job at work when suddenly heard a loud snap in my back ribs. It was immediately followed by intense pain and loss of breath. I uncomfortably drove myself to the ER.

Turns out last Saturday that F'n 2x4 cracked my ribs! I can't move or breath deeply. I can't figure out why it waited a week to get this bad. Now I can't get anything done!

Bruce, I think we live in parallel universes.

Joey has the nicest turbo Buick ive ever layed eyes on, you think the motor shines in pics, you gotta see it in person, you can brush you teeth in any part of the engine..:D.....I think its time for him to start a build thread(y) because these great pics are gonna get lost in this off-topic thread..

Damn Bruce you have to quit working so much. I hurt myself all the time, wife says she is going to pack me in bubble wrap. I think I hurt myself so I can sit around and do nothing :D That is a nice shop, and looks like a nice property:cool: Well due to recent activity on this thread I am postponing my yard work to play in the shop and go for a hike with my dog:LOL: hope the heeling goes well

Unfortunately, the build is complete. There was very little photos taken during the actual fabrication process. As with all TR owners, the work continues to this day. However, not in full blown construction mode as it was started 9 years ago. Most of what is done today is just little add-ons, projects, maintenance, and what is known in the construction business as "punchlist" items. I'm completely useless with digital photography/ electronics/
computers. So to create a thread is incredibly frustrating for me.

It would be nice if my Girlfriend enthusiastically actively participated in this task for me. I do believe she has been a big supporter of my hobby. Although I don't believe she can grasp the significance of this creation as being something very special.

Maybe she just don't realize a dumb aging construction worker with no money could really build something that was good enough to draw national interest among a group of expert performance innovators.

Jeez, Joey! Now that really sucks! And I thought I was the only one here trying to commit suicide!!!! With those cracked ribs, you are GOING to HAVE to take it easy!! For quite a while! I sure appreciate your suffering.....we'll suffer together...have a cold beer and watch some "R" rated action movies for a while.
I wholly agree with you....we DO live in parallel universes! Well put. Damn, of all the luck.
Thanks for reminding me NEVER to kick 2x4s! I'll stick with furring strips!
Truly sorry for your serious injury, Joey. Get well and take it easy. If you want me to come up and get your gorgeous Turbo Buick to bring down here to "guard" for you, just let me know. (First let me check to see if my passport is up to date.:LOL:
