If it is just a small crack that is not always the case, you do not ALWAYS hear it. I know this for sure. X2 on what wastegate are you running?

True but I would think that a crack big enough to cause a drop in boost would be audible.

Could he be running too fat too or need a bigger turbo? Don't quote me on this but 10:1 sounds a little on the rich side WOT. Could be chasing false knock too.

Car Runs between 11.2 to 10.8 at WOT, Yet another problem has arose, I am getting audible detonation man this is sucking......

You definitely shouldn't be hearing audible knock at 11.2-10.8:1 AF WOT. Do you have and EGTsensor? Where's your timing at?

yeah, that sounds pretty FAT to me also.. but when is he seeing 10:1, is it when he first punches and then looks back at the road?? i mean, lets face it.. who can go full throttle on a buick and just watch the gauges??? NOT ME!!! im watching each side of the road going back and forth, back and forth.. hehe.

With your knock is it showing up on the Scanmaster or do you just hear it?

Yes it shos knock on scan master and its has audible detonation as well so I let off immediately.

Timing is set right at the TT street chip setting, I have not played with timing. No I do not have EGT just a wide band.

I have not seen 10.1 on the wide band , for a short instance at WOT I see 10.4 the lowest but then levels off to 11.2 to 10.8

You need to figure out your knock issue before anything else. Just my 02. If you can hear it, chances are you're doing damage or youv'e already done damage. What octane are you running? Are you running alky?

I just started to get knock again, I added fuel a while ago and set fuel pressure and all that went away, now it has returned I run 93 no alky, The car runs good when its GOOD.

I drove car to work this morning and it had slight knock (1.3 retard at 15psi (dont know why I got that much boost today (i did change all the lines going to the boost solenoid last night) Will see if it can retain that boost, but This is getting kinda retarded, Its like the car is f___king with me day to day. Something is alittle different everyday, think Ill throw my fuel gage in the car AGAIN and see what she rises to under boost. At this rate I know I wont own this car long, LOL I,m too old and dont have the patience anymore....:mad:
 
Well, got home from work and decided to change oil, when I got under the car I decided to start it and look for exhaust leaks. I found a small tick coming from the drivers side header(cant see where) but there is a leak. That may account for my boost drop, well I guess taken off the header and checking it out is my next step. Dam I need to just drive my truck its alot easier
 
If you are not going to do some basic reading on this site to understand how your car works than get a shop/tuner or sell it before you hurt it. By the way you cant just replace the hoses from your turbo to actuator and boost controller since there is a specific orifice bleeder in one of the hoses and controls boost. Buy a hose kit from one of the vendors. Just relax and do some reading after a while it does not seem so confusing.
 
Turns out, Bad Gas(go figure) and cracked driver header(now fixed).

I do some much reading I think I'm back in school. This is a great site with good people, I have tuned many of my cars over the years. The hoses I took off did have a orfice bleeder in it (rough measurement .048), I think I'm just older and grumpy not sure if this was the right car to buy, but I usually dont hold on to cars for to long anyway.
