JZ. I'm looking forward to talking on the phone with you tomorrow. I have some appointments in the morning, so it'll be afternoon when I call.
Others seem interested in this thread so I'll try to keep it running.
So everyone is clear about what I'm looking for, I'm looking for a decent exhaust bp number and compressor that is not on the edge of unit overspeeding or efficiency. I would like 70+% efficiency at max flow for my combination. Not 60%. I suppose this means that I'd like a bit of capacity cushion in the compressor map. I realize this may mean longer spool time. Would there be any other bad effect of sizing this way?
The variables are:
1235 target horsepower.
224 cid.
Methanol fuel.
7500 rpm.
40-45 operating manifold pressure.
A 200hp shot of nitrous/methanol will be used for spooling assist. Turned off at 16+ psi.
Relatively large duration and overlap cam specs.
Long tube tuned primaries with short collectors before the turbo.
No compressor surging.
Would the BW 85 comp wheel be a better choice?
I hear you Dusty and John. I'm sure the T6 housing is the way to go.
