Congrats and nice job on picking your first house! Where at in GA are you located? I have family that lives in the SW area of GA area near Ft Gaines.

there's no feeling like buying your 1st home, everything from proud to OH SHI* our mortgage is how much.

congradulations on your new house ... keep those handle bars away from the buick.

Im trying to build my first home now ... wish me luck

Very nice. I'll bet you didn't paying $300k like you would around here for something that nice.

wish i could find something that cheap. im looking at over 300K

I agree. I felt like I was going to have a cartial infraction when I was signing the papers and the wife was going to knock me silly if I didnt sign! We ended up getting 5.25% 30yr fix and paid 20k under tax value. The only downside was it was a foreclosure that we didnt have to do one thing cept replace the hot water heater before closing ($750). The Feds have their own rates for fee's on the closing costs that ended up running us around $9300 in closing costs. I told my mortgage company that needed to be under a certain amount on the payment and they did come under $125 per month and I told her that I was going to be pressed on the closing costs and the lender ended up lowering their fee's to help.

hell no less than 100k
Wow! Up north is where you make money in my profession. Down south is where you spend it in retirement I guess. That's amazing you paid less then $100k for a nice house like that.

Just goes to show how out of whack things are in some places. One could live like a King down there apparently and have REAL nice toyz as well.
