Powermaster from my 86 t-type no accumulator ball or switch, works just fine with if you install a good ball and switch.
Removed because the car was too rusty :(

powermaster

Hey Bryan,

I'll stop by and check out the pwr master. Looks like I may need one.

Did you guys get home fine last night?
Call me when you get the battery fully charged and I can lend you a alternator to get the charging system up to snuff.

Yeah, parents took the wife home to get the truck and chains. Pulled it home no problem. Didn't get home til nearly midnight.

You may be right, think I may have fried my new coil pack.

I need a new Powermaster but I have no idea what part of mine is bad. No power brake assist at all. Is there someway to test the individual componets? Engine is out of car right now and about 3 hours away.

I would first check your AC fuse under the dash, if that blows it will keep the electric motor from turning on/cycling on the powermaster and you wont have power assist.
Once you turn the key to the on position, you should hear the electric motor kick on till it reaches operating pressure.

If you hear the electric motor cycling on and off all the time, and never seems to hold pressure, i would replace either the ball or switch or both.
Its been a long time since either have failed on my cars.

First you need to varify if the electric motor is getting power, then diagnose if the ball or switch is bad.
