Brake experts- how well do you like (or dislike) bleeding brakes with a vacuum/suction tool?

Mityvac has a new tool that uses shop air to generate vacuum -- possibly faster and less messy than the hand pump tool, since it's an "all in one" unit with fewer hoses and jars to fumble with.

Do the vac tools work as well as well as forced pressure bleeding thru the Master Cyl?

How does the quality of vacuum bleeding compare to ordinary pedal pumping? Since I often work alone I'd have to rely on the Russell speed bleeder style of bleeder screw -- hopefully they don't allow air to be sucked backwards.

The vacuum style bleeders work really well. especially if you can use shop air to draw fluid from the bleeder. But more recently I have seen internet (EBAY) auctions for Phoenix system brake bleeders. The Phoenix system bleeder pushes fluid through the bleeder into the reservoir. This allows fluid to fill the wheel cylinder or caliper and bleed the air through the top of the master cylinder. IMHO, if you're going to spend for a mityvac bleeder, you might consider a Phoenix system reverse pressure bleeder.

Also, I've not had very good luck with speed bleeders. The ones on the calipers leaked and I could not get them to seat up.
