Ok, went to Autozone. I want the big shoes on both sides. They have semi-metallic that are bonded with no rivets and non-metallic that are riveted.

Are either one of these sets considered "soft" compound shoes? If not who makes soft compound shoes? I know I can get them from Kirban, Cotton's or Poston's but they want $40 for a set and Autozone's would be $18 for two sets.

Any help is appreciated.

I believe the non-metallic would be the soft ones.

Riveted or glued is a manufacturers method, not sure if it relates to type of shoe much, perhaps price though.

One would think the surface area of the rivet holes would sorta come close to equalling out the surface area of the large pad?

I bought two sets of semi-metallic at NAPA for my WE4, couldn't bring myself to mess/mix them up for the double long shoes. :p

Luckily the car holds more boost on the normal set of semi-metallic than the tires Hoosier QTP's can hold at the line at LVD. :)

Just my .02.
